Loans and Renewals
Who can borrow ?
HEC Paris users are allowed to borrow materials (books, textbooks, thesis, dvds ..) and / or devices (eReaders, tablet PCs).
Interlibrary loan
The Interlibrary Loan service (ILL) enables a network of libraries to make or receive requests for documents, either reproductions or originals.
Before applying, please check if the document is available in the HEC Paris Library Catalog Flora or in the Databases
Research Assistance
The research assistance services provide you with help and support for your information research and guide you through the library resources.
NB: This service is only available for HEC Paris internal users and library subscribers
How to ask for a research assistance ?
- At the library helpdesk office, from Monday to Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday between 11:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m

Submission of student works
How do I submit my document?
Each student is asked to submit a copy of their internship report, research paper or thesis to the library so that it can be included in the catalogue.
To submit your work with the HEC library :
- Use the thesis submission form
- Login using your HEC network password
- Fill out the relevant sections of the form
- Do not forget to include your work in PDF format
- Tick the box stating that you allow HEC to publish your internship report in the HEC Paris Library catalogue
- Click the “Send” button

Citations managers
EndNote and EndNote basic
EndNote and EndNote basic are tools for managing bibliographic references. EndNote is the software version of the product, while EndNote basic is the online version.
These tools allow you to :
- Set up your personalized database of bibliographic references
- Import article references from a number of databases available in the library
- Insert references into your dissertations or theses and update your bibliography
EndNote or EndNote basic?
Professors
- If you have a laptop, you can take it to IT services to have the EndNote software installed
- If you have a desktop computer, you can ask a technician to come and install the software
PhD students
- EndNote is installed on the desktop computers reserved for PhD students
- Note: IT services will ask you to get permission from your thesis director before setting up the software
Grande école or Specialized masters students
- Use EndNote basic and create your own personal profile
- Note: the initial sign-up must be done on campus. Once signed up, you can log into EndNote on and off campus

Zotero
Zotero is a free tool for managing bibliographic references. It lives in the web browser itself.
This tool allow you to :
- Collect your bibliographic information easily and efficiently with a single click on your browser’s address bar
- Organize and share your references
- Cite your references directly into your Word processor (dissertation, master’s thesis, internship report, research paper, thesis…)
- Generate your bibliography with a single click
- Sync your references on all your devices
How to install Zotero?
Go to Zotero website and choose the version you wish to download.
